Most important news that occurred on the day this was written was the fact that Donald Trump cancelled the proposed summit meeting with North Korea. The reason for his cancellation was probably due to the fact that an enormous amount of vitriol had spewed forth from NOKO. But there could also be items which remain secret.
The announcement drew typical comments from the mainstream media talking heads, who criticized Trump’s apparent lack of traditional diplomacy, just as they had decried his approach to NOKO when it was first announced there would a summit meeting. No matter what Trump does, whether he eats cheeseburgers in bed or is constantly on his Twitter, there is no way liberal media outlets will ever give him a break. He (Trump) is extremely lucky that Twitter ever came into being since by its use he has been able to take his message to more people than many of the left-leaning media can reach.
When it comes to the aforementioned media, I occasionally tune in and on none of their sets do I see a diploma in Psychology hanging on the wall or a Fortune Teller’s crystal ball sitting on their desks. Nonetheless, these so-called pundits and prognosticators seem to have an intimate knowledge of what goes on in Trump’s head and how he will react in certain situations. The most egregious commentator I have witnessed so far is the fabled “Morning Joe”, who regularly goes apoplectic every time he mentions Trump’s name. His female sidekick is even worse, as she fawns over Joe’s every syllable.
While we are speaking of liberals in general, it is noteworthy that the preponderance of college commencement speakers this year were of the leftist persuasion. Chief among them was the ever-present Hillary Clinton, who bemoaned her 2016 loss and told a Russian joke which fell flat as she donned a Soviet headpiece. Instead of reminding her audience of the so-called Russian collusion, it served to remind onlookers of her sale of US uranium to the Soviet State. Another old war horse that donned the mantle of commencement speaker was Al Gore. His message to the students was eerily the same as Clinton’s and that of the addle-pated Nancy Pelosi, who also performed a driveling address to graduates.
As for the students themselves, who had already been subjected to at least four years of the progressive doctrine, it must have been torture to sit and listen to politically charged rhetoric instead of uplifting and inspirational speeches about their upcoming future in the real world. That future, oddly, looks more promising than it has for a number of years, primarily due to the fact that the economy is on a roll under the Trump administration.

AS BAD AS the commencement speakers were, they could not hold a candle to the so-called comedians who appear on late-night TV. Chief among the comics (?) is the foul-mouthed Bill Maher who delivers the most hateful diatribes against Trump to a carefully pre-selected liberal audience. Next in line is the scruffy looking Jimmy Kimmel, who is a one-man wrecking crew when it comes to the motion picture “Oscars”. Not far behind is the squiggly Steven Colbert who is also one of the creators of the anti-Trump animated flick “Our Cartoon President” which not only makes Trump look ludicrous but does the same to many of Trump’s appointees and family members.

ONE MAN WHO can change everything is the former U of N Football star, Colin Kaepernick, who is most famous for taking a knee prior to NFL games when the National Anthem was played. As a result of his action, which was followed by an ever-increasing number of players, TV viewership of the NFL dropped by almost ten percent. There was also a corresponding decrease in live attendance. Since Pro Football is basically big business, the majority of team owners was quickly cognizant of the decrease in the bottom line. Finally last week, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell came out with a new anthem protest policy which says, in effect, that players who wish to take a knee should remain in the locker room while the majority of their teammates stand outside for the playing of the song. Naturally, the players union protested the order and were quickly supported by the liberal Press. It is said that one of the owners liked a policy that would be much stronger and would result in the player kneeling not being allowed to participate in the game, thus putting added pressure on his teammates.
