I eat yogurt and I like it. I do buy the cheapest yogurt that I can get. I have tried the expensive ones. You know they come in glass jars or have two sides one of which is the yogurt and one is the additives of sweet or crunchy. They’re good but not good enough for me to spend two or more times the money for the same reason I buy and enjoy yogurt. No, the ten for six bucks is … [Read more...]
Frederick Column: He’s all about ‘the science’
Here we go again. Gov. Steve Sisolak lifted mandatory mask wearing in Nevada saying he did so because, you know, he’s very much a scientific kind of guy. Careful, my friends. Take care not to step on that plop of Carson City horse apple. Look, if we don’t start being honest with ourselves about what Nevada did during the pandemic, we’ll not have learned our … [Read more...]
Commentary: The mayor held his breath
When it comes to mask mandates, nothing says baloney louder than the National Football League. Consider the game between the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers played two weeks ago at SoFI Stadium in Los Angeles. According to the rules of the city and the state there, everyone attending the game was required to wear a face covering to prevent the spread of … [Read more...]
Rise of the Homotextuals
We’re surrounded. Soulless, godless homotextuals are popping up everywhere trying to turn our kids into mindless preverts addicted to bloodand-guts video games featuring computer-generated (gasp!) scantily clad lezzie-amazon cartoon warrior women. Oh, the humanity. Whatever happened to traditional family values? They got packaged by political marketing consultants, that’s … [Read more...]

Today, just a few blocks south of the Nevada State Capitol Complex, the Carson Mall is home to a new Plato’s Closet. Plato’s Closet, the leading teen and young adult retail resale concept, has announced the … [Read more...]
Is this you? Heating and grocery bills
A long time ago. Oh my, that makes me sound like my grandpa. I guess I could say long ago and far away. Well that doesn’t make me sound any less old does it? Let me just go with, some time ago. Yes, well, some time ago there was a tiny grocery store where they offered customers open accounts. People in the small town where the grocery store was could go in and sign for … [Read more...]
Hold their feet to fire
The days of poorly thought out mandates and restrictions in the name of public health are probably over. It’s been a hard two years for the free society that is Nevada. Lockdowns, mask mandates, and social distancing morphed into silly rules and outright oppression. No visiting mom in the rest home. No touching dying loved ones in the hospital. No church. We still flirt with … [Read more...]
Treasure the age of the republic’s wane
