Cougs stay in first place after win over Reed
The Spanish Springs girls had two goals in the first half and one in the second on Saturday as they topped Reed 3-2. Alyssa Grundy finished with two goals while Alyssa Marlow netted the other and included an assist. Cerese McMillan and Allison Tullis recorded assists in the win. The Raiders returned to their winning ways on Friday when they blew out McQueen at home in the conference opener, 66-9. Reed improves to 4-2 overall after dropping the two previous games. Reed Improves to 3-0 with win over Galena
Reed turned the ball over early in the first quarter of Friday’s game at Galena and gave up a pair of passing touchdowns over 30 yards shortly after, but that was about all that went wrong for the visitors that night.
