One of Sparks’ most distinguished natives passed away on October 17, this year. His name was Procter Hug, Jr., who was the Chief Judge emeritus of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His obituary cited a long and impressive judicial career which gained him all sorts of awards. In addition to having a fine legal mind, he was a superb athlete both at Sparks High and the … [Read more...]
The IG Report
The long-awaited IG report on Hillary Clinton was finally released last week after a year and a half. The report totaled more than five hundred pages and was replete with devastating anti-Trump emails between a pair of FBI lovers. The overwhelming bias against Trump repeatedly showed up but in the conclusion of the report it was said that such bias was not a factor. In that … [Read more...]
Hillary in Wonderland
In her latest exit from the woods, Hillary Clinton came up with two dozen reasons why she lost the Presidential Election. Strangely enough, she left out the twenty-fifth reason, which is actually number one--herself. All Hillary has to do is obtain a copy of the new book, “Shattered” to find out what happened in her campaign. There was complete disarray from the onset, … [Read more...]
Kelly Ann Conway: The Princess of pivot
Spit on me, and we’ll get through it. But don’t talk to me like I’m stupid. I just see red. I freely confess this is a childish ego issue for me. I’m working on it. Voter Registration Version of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell
After President Trump proclaimed to the world that the only reason Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 3 million was that 3 million or more ballots were cast fraudulently — by noncitizens, by the dead or by Box 13 in Alice, Texas, where ballot stuffing first elected Lyndon Johnson to Congress, perhaps — the media dutifully reported that there is no evidence, no proof, no … [Read more...]
Eye For An Eye: Karma Snaps Back on Harry
We won’t say Harry Reid is dumb as a post. We’d need an official IQ test from the post. What we can say, however, is that what goes around comes around for Reid, and in the case of the so-called “Nuclear Option” for Senate appointees, it’s coming around with a vengeance. Reid changed Senate rules so that presidential confirmations no longer take 60 votes, but only 50+1. That … [Read more...]
Why We Have a Federalist System, Instead of a Democracy
Someone buy these folks a civics textbook and maybe a Cliff Notes version of the Federalist Papers. Yes, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by about 3 million more votes than Donald Trump, but she lost the Electoral College vote by 306 to 232. That is because the Electoral College is made up of 538 members — one for each senator and representative from each state, plus the … [Read more...]
The Obama Legacy
President Barack Hussein Obama is famous for stating that his non-accomplishments should be preserved for posterity. During the recent presidential campaign he ranted and raved about Donald Trump and famously stated that Hillary was the most qualified person to ever seek the presidency. He even went so far as to say that if the constituency did not vote for Hillary, he would … [Read more...]
