Grand opening held for new Sparks park
The City of Sparks recently held a grand opening/dedication event of the new Jack Reviglio Memorial Park on 7130 Truth Drive in Sparks. The 1.62-acre grassy area has two playgrounds for kids ages 2 to 12 years old, as well as a shaded pavilion. Pair of construction projects begin this week

Sparks swimming pool celebrates 80th anniversary
In May 1942, the swimming pool at Deer Park on 1700 Prater Way opened thanks to funds from the New Deal that former president Franklin Roosevelt pushed through.
